Information for Parents

The purpose of the youth club is to provide a safe and welcoming place for young people to socialise and make new friends. Young people are involved in the planning of activities which are based on needs and interests.

Our aim is to stimulate and challenge young people, broadening their horizons and enabling them to develop holistically. We work with them to facilitate their personal, social and educational development, and to enable them to develop their voice, influence and place in society. Ultimately encouraging them to reach their full potential.

Our youth workers build effective relationships with young people offering advice and guidance, supporting young people to make informed decisions and to have a say in the running of the youth club.

All of our staff and volunteers are DBS checked, hold First Aid and Food hygiene certificates and have attended Child Protection Training.

Volunteering for The Charltons Youth Club

We are recruiting new volunteers to help support our Wednesday evening sessions.

The Charltons Youth club is run by a fully qualified Youth and Community Development worker and held at the Charltons Community Hall every week during term time for young people aged 10+.

We are looking for new volunteers to help support the club once a month between 6.15-8.45pm on Wednesday evening.

This is fantastic opportunity to get to know some of the young people in our village, and to help with their personal, social and educational development.

Volunteers are offered free training and will be DBS checked.

This is great way of giving back to the local community, getting valuable experience in youth work and helping shape our villagers of the future.
If you are 18 years or older,  can spare 2.5 hours every month & would like to find out more about volunteering at Charltons Youth Club, please contact:
kate.oboyle@yahoo.co.uk or telephone: 07941130777

Thank you in advance for helping to support our young people!
